WHAT WE DO
Mawon works to promote rights and assist in the socioeconomic integration of migrants and refugees through an articulation based on education and culture.
To this end, we carry out projects aimed at the effective integration of people, valuing multiculturalism, self-esteem and financial autonomy.
We operate throughout Brazil, but specifically in the State of Rio de Janeiro in places with a high concentration of migrants and refugees of the most diverse nationalities:Afghanistan, Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Togo, Morocco, Senegal, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, among others.
The objective of this project is to boost the income of the migrant and refugee population, helping to build in them the necessary skills both to look for a formal job and to start/improve their own business.
The proposal is to design individual career/professional plans and adjust their learning curves according to what each profile needs, through an intensive program of classes with specialized content, individual mentoring, legal advice and human resources provided individually to the participants of the project.
Mawon develops projects for the socioeconomic integration of migrants and refugees in Brazilian society, promoting skills and knowledge needed for day-to-day life and financial autonomy with a combination of cultural activities and income generation.
Mawon has the proposal to spread and connect the cultures of the diasporas present in Brazil. By hiring a cultural experience, you not only contribute to generating income for migrants and refugees, but also enrich your institution through the stories of different cultures.
